Barbados welcomed home their greatest entertainer last week ; the Grammy award winner Rihanna. She arrived at the airport to a heroine's welcome and later that night she was the guest of honour at a concert at Independence Square. Rihanna was awarded the position of Youth and Cultural ambassador. I was lucky enough to be able to attend the concert and although Rihanna was unable to perform it was still a treat. I'm a huge Rihanna fan and judging by the massive turnout last Thursday, I'm definitely not alone. She made an unforgettable entrance on a yacht while the song 'She's Royal' was being played onstage. Very fitting indeed.
