There are hurting millions that are ignorant of God's plan for the family undergoing untold heartaches, breakdown, physical combat yet seeking for peace, joy and fulfillment.and are at the same time groping in darkness. Some end up breaking up the family only to experience hurts and wounds, while others stay married because of the children but go through shameful and hurtful experiences.
God's utmost desire for married couples and the family unit is for peace, joy and fulfillment, for expansion and increases.
It is no hidden thing that families these last days are under attack (I Timothy 4:1-3) however God is not caught unawares, but has an escape route prepared for all who will believe in Him. He is personally interested in the family, and revealed this by His great involvement in starting and establishing the first family, (Genesis 2). Since He is the manufacturer of the union whatever He says, if followed produces the best result. Anyone who buys a car but refuses to follow the instruction in the manual will end up never driving it because it won't start. Likewise all who choose pre-marital sex, having children out of wedlock, or intimate sexual relations with the same sex will only draw frustration and not fulfillment, sorrow and not sweetness.
What then is His purpose for Marriage and the Family unit?
COMPANIONSHIP
"...It is not good that the man should be alone..." (Gen.2:28).
Man needs a companion who he will spend time with share his work, pleasures and beliefs. It is to eliminate loneliness that man needs a companion.
DOMINION
As man and wife God equipped them with the ability to subdue the earth. He put them both in charge of all His creation. (Deu.32:30).
"...and have dominion..." (Gen.1:28).
PROCREATION
The family was created as a legal avenue for raising godly children
"...Be fruitful, and multiply...'' (Gen.1:28).
However, no one person need use it as an excuse to produce children he can't cater for.
BETTER, BEST AND PERFECT LIVING
Marriage isn't a necessary evil. God designed it to only produce good and perfect gifts (Js.1:17). Any contrary experience is not from God but initiated by the devil. It therefore makes for a better way of living (Ecc.4:9). It produces:
HELP: "I will make a help meet for him." (Gen.2:18). You are to help each other fulfil God's plan for your lives. Not beat him/her up and abuse each other. ONENESS:By one flesh (Gen.2:24), there is a legal outlet for sexual desires. Sex outside marriage is promiscuity and draws God's wrath (Heb. 13:4). BESTOWS HONOUR: It is meant to remove shame and bestow honour. God says, "Marriage should be honoured by all..." (Heb.13:4, NIV). In the spirit your prayer life is stronger (Matt.18:19), in your soul great power can be generated especially when the two of you are in agreement (Gen.11:6), and physically God honours you with children and rewards the work of your hands (Ecc.4:9).
Do you see a different picture in your marriage or family or home? Would you desire a change? Then, first of all accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour or else the struggle continues.
Say this prayer to be saved: Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you this day as a sinner, I repent and ask you to forgive me my sins. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour.

Since the Bible says in Hebrews 4:15 that Jesus is my High priest who is touched by whatever touches me, then whatever problem I think I have is not mine but Christ's.
Let me then begin to see those challenges as God's challenges and not mine.
If those problems can weigh God, then let it be, but this is The God who is Stronger than strength, Bigger than size, he can even be Smaller than atom to fit the belly of a Virgin.
